He was a protector with a big heart, always positive and trusting in God. Mark is survived by his wife, Michelle Silva, and his children, Brandy Salas, Destiny Irene Noriega, and stepdaughter, Amaris Silva.
On the night of August 15,
2019, Mark Anthony Noriega was involved in a deadly shooting at a game room located near the 4018 block of Urban Avenue in Dallas. The incident also claimed the life of Dominic Cortez. According to police reports, two suspects, Deangelo Johns and William Walker, were identified as the perpetrators. Surveillance video and witness accounts revealed that Johns and Walker entered the game room through the back door. Almost immediately after entering, Johns pulled out a gun and began fighting with Cortez, shooting him multiple times. Mark Noriega, who was behind the counter, grabbed a gun and opened fire in an attempt to defend himself and others. However, Johns tackled Noriega, took away the gun, and shot him.
