On New Year's Day in Moss Point, Mississippi, 47-year-old Joseph Whitt was found deceased inside his home on River Pine Drive. A woman discovered him on the floor at approximately 8 a.m. and immediately contacted emergency services. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound. Investigators believe that Whitt was tragically killed by a stray bullet.
