In the quiet, suburban neighborhood of Paloma Lakes in Coconut Creek, Florida, the life of 38-year-old Veloudre Loudia Petitval came to a tragic end on January 3, 2026. The events that unfolded on that Saturday morning stemmed from a domestic violence incident that escalated into a murder-suicide, leaving a community in shock and a young child without parents.
Police were called to the 4800 block of Acadian Trail after receiving reports of gunshots inside a residence. Upon arrival, they found the home barricaded. The Coconut Creek Police, along with SWAT teams, surrounded the house and for hours, attempted to make contact with the people inside, urging the suspect to come out.
