Chayvis "Chay" Darice Reed, a 28-year-old transgender woman, was tragically shot and killed on April 27, 2017, in Miami-Dade County's West Little River neighborhood. The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. near Northwest 27th Avenue and 93rd Street. According to witnesses and surveillance footage, Reed was seen running across the street when six to seven gunshots were heard, and she collapsed in the middle of the street.
