On a Tuesday afternoon in Akron, Ohio, police were dispatched to a residence on Casterton Avenue for a welfare check, a routine call that would soon reveal a tragic scene. Inside the home, officers discovered the bodies of 60-year-old Sharleen Kohnke and her 39-year-old husband, Robert Kohnke, both deceased from gunshot wounds. The quiet neighborhood was suddenly the center of a grim investigation as detectives began to piece together the events that led to the couple's demise.
