In the heart of Dallas, a community is grappling with the sudden and violent death of 27-year-old Just Smith-Gibbs, a talented tattoo artist and business owner who was fatally shot on the evening of January 6, 2026. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 2900 block of East 11th Street, near Cedar Crest Boulevard, outside of Smith-Gibbs' own tattoo shop, Legendary Ink.
