In the quiet evening of January 7, 2026, Victor Luis Quispe, a 37-year-old man of Peruvian descent, was at his home on Lake Avenue in Danbury, Connecticut, when his life was abruptly cut short. A single bullet, fired from a neighboring townhouse, pierced through the shared wall and struck Quispe as he was eating dinner on his couch.
