In the early morning hours of September 4, 2019, the quiet of the Sterling Woods condominium complex in Danbury, Connecticut, was shattered by a fatal gunshot. Jason James Lowry Hoff, a 33-year-old Caucasian male from Brewster, New York, was visiting a friend at the complex when the incident occurred. Emergency responders were called to the scene at approximately 6:07 a.m. and discovered Hoff with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.
