In the quiet community of Cedarbluff, Mississippi, a tragic series of events unfolded on the evening of January 9, 2026, culminating in the death of 61-year-old Samuel Bradley and five other individuals. What began as a domestic dispute spiraled into a violent rampage that left the small town in shock.
The alleged perpetrator, 24-year-old Daricka M. Moore, is accused of beginning his deadly path at a family residence on David Hill Road.
There, authorities believe he fatally shot his 67-year-old father, Glenn Moore; his 33-year-old brother, Quinten Moore; and his 55-year-old uncle, Willie Ed Guines. All three men were found with gunshot wounds to the head. Following these initial acts, Moore allegedly stole his brother's Ford F-150 and drove to a second home on Blake Road.
At the second location, Moore is accused of forcing his way into the residence and fatally shooting his 7-year-old cousin, Mikiylia Guines, after a failed attempt at sexual battery. The young girl also died from a gunshot wound to the head. Witnesses reported that Moore also threatened another child in the home before fleeing the scene. From there, he drove to a residence on Siloam-Griffith Road, located near the Apostolic Church of The Lord Jesus, which some of Moore's family attended.
It was at this third and final location that Samuel Bradley and his brother, 63-year-old Rev. Barry Lynn Bradley, were found deceased, both having suffered fatal gunshot wounds to the head. The brothers, who were from Columbus, were staying at the residence near the church. Later that evening, law enforcement apprehended Daricka Moore at a roadblock near Pine Grove Road and Joe Myers Road. He was found in possession of a rifle and a handgun.
Moore was taken into custody and has since been charged with three counts of capital murder and three counts of first-degree murder, along with other felonies including attempted murder, attempted sexual battery, burglary, and motor vehicle theft. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges and was denied bond during his initial court appearance. The court has ordered a mental health evaluation for Moore. Prosecutors have indicated their intent to seek the death penalty in this case, citing the severity and nature of the crimes. The motive for the string of killings remains under investigation.
