In the quiet community of Cedarbluff, Mississippi, a tragic series of events unfolded on January 9, 2026, culminating in the death of 67-year-old Glenn Moore. Moore became the first victim in a violent rampage that would ultimately claim the lives of six people. Investigators believe the spree began at the Moore family's mobile home, where Glenn Moore, his 33-year-old son Quinten Moore, and his 55-year-old brother-in-law Willie Ed Guines were fatally shot.
All victims were pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds to the head.
The alleged shooter, identified as Glenn Moore's 24-year-old son, Daricka M. Moore, was taken into custody later that night. Following the initial shootings at his family's residence, Daricka Moore allegedly stole his brother's truck and drove to the nearby home of a cousin. There, he is accused of fatally shooting his 7-year-old second cousin, Mikylia Guines, after a failed sexual battery attempt. The violence continued at the Apostolic Church of The Lord Jesus, where he is believed to have killed the pastor, Barry Bradley, and his brother, Samuel Bradley.
Daricka M. Moore was apprehended at a police roadblock around five hours after the first killings began, carrying a rifle and a handgun. He was arrested and booked into the Clay County jail without bail. He has since been charged with three counts of capital murder and three counts of first-degree murder, along with additional charges of attempted murder, attempted sexual battery, burglary, and motor vehicle theft. The District Attorney has indicated that the first-degree murder charges may be upgraded to capital murder and that they intend to seek the death penalty. Daricka M. Moore pleaded not guilty to the charges during his initial court appearance. A motive for the killings is still under investigation, but authorities believe the attacks were targeted.
