In the early morning hours of Monday, January 12, 2026, the life of 40-year-old Jorge Seferino Hernandez-Perez, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short in Austin, Texas. The incident began to unfold at approximately 5:27 a.m. when Austin Police Department officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of South Meadows Drive after receiving a call about shots being fired in the residential neighborhood.
