Darnell E. McClain, a 37-year-old African American man from Austin, Texas, tragically died on June 24, 2020. He was fatally shot by his friend, Adrian Whitley, inside a Chevrolet Tahoe at the corner of Airport Boulevard and Gunter Street in east Austin. Despite life-saving measures, McClain was pronounced dead at the scene.
