On August 25, 2020, Jesus Efren Todakee, a Hispanic male from Gardendale, Texas, tragically lost his life due to a gunshot wound. The incident occurred in the 10000 block of Dalewade, where officers responded to a disturbance call just before 8 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Todakee with a single gunshot wound and immediately transported him to Medical Center Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Ector County Sheriff's Office swiftly launched an investigation into the incident.
