In the early morning hours of January 12, 2026, a grim discovery was made in a downtown Atlanta parking deck. Charlie Davis, a 42-year-old man, was found unresponsive in an elevator lobby on the ninth floor of the structure located on Peachtree Center Avenue NE. When authorities arrived at approximately 8:30 a.m., they pronounced him dead at the scene. An investigation quickly determined that Davis had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head, and the case was classified as a homicide.
