In the Morgan Park neighborhood of Chicago, a Wednesday evening turned deadly when gunfire erupted, claiming the life of 28-year-old Quindon Vincent. The shooting, which occurred on January 14, 2026, also left two other men wounded.
The incident began shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the 11000 block of South Longwood Drive, where police were called for a person shot. According to dispatch reports, the shooting may have taken place near a laundromat in the 11100 block of South Longwood Drive.
First responders discovered the three victims inside a white sport-utility vehicle that was riddled with bullet holes. The vehicle was found blocks away from the initial scene, in the 10900 block of South Homewood Avenue, near Prospect Gardens Park and Bohn Park.
Quindon Vincent was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn after sustaining a gunshot wound to the back and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Another man was taken to the same hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds, while a second 28-year-old man was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound to his foot.
As of the following morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the fatal shooting. Chicago police detectives from Area Two are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the triple shooting.
