In the quiet community of Lancaster, South Carolina, a tragic event unfolded on the evening of Thursday, January 15, 2026, forever altering the lives of those involved. Jarvis Shannon, a 38-year-old man, was fatally shot in the front yard of a residence on South Hughes Street. The Lancaster Police Department responded to reports of the shooting at approximately 8:24 p.m. and discovered Shannon suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
