At approximately 5:50 p.m., officers from the Boston Police Department assigned to District A-7 received a radio call reporting a person shot near 27 Havre Street at the intersection with Cunard Way. Upon their arrival at the scene, first responders discovered the victim suffering from a severe gunshot wound.
He was immediately transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Nazir Iman Wallace.
Nazir Wallace was born in Boston and had spent his formative years navigating the school systems of Boston and Medford before completing his secondary education through the Cambridge Public Schools High School Extension Program. Known to his family and friends as a spirited and humble individual, he was the son of Ketra Densie Tatum and Kairi Wallace. His death was described by loved ones as an untimely loss of a "luminous soul" who had harbored dreams of furthering his education and attending college courses. A funeral service celebrating his life was held weeks later on December 20, 2025, at the Greater Love Tabernacle Church in Dorchester, followed by interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
