Luis Ares, a 22-year-old Hispanic/Latino man from West Allis, was killed on the morning of December 23, 2025, during a barrage of gunfire outside the College Court Apartments near South 20th Street and West College Avenue in Oak Creek. Police began receiving multiple 911 calls shortly after 8 a.m. reporting gunshots and what witnesses described as gunfire involving two vehicles.
