On the evening of November 21, 2025, Milwaukee police were called to the 6800 block of North Darien Street, near the intersection with Green Tree Road on the city's north side, after reports of gunfire around 5:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found 15-year-old Azari Reed-Irish suffering from fatal gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
