On the evening of November 2, 2025, 44-year-old D’Hikiyah Sanika Jones, a woman, was inside a home on North Westover Drive in Wicomico County when the quiet of a Sunday afternoon was broken by gunfire. Troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were dispatched shortly before 5 p.m. for reports of a shooting, arriving to find a man and a woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside the residence.
