In the early evening of November 3, 2025, the life of Michael Whitfield, a 58-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Officers from the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of Waterdown Drive at approximately 5:17 p.m. following reports of gunfire in the area. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Whitfield suffering from a gunshot wound.
