A workplace shooting in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, November 8, 2025, claimed the life of 48-year-old Selvin Chacon and two of his coworkers. The incident occurred at a landscaping supply company located in the 4400 block of Stahl Road on the city's Northeast Side.
The tranquil morning was shattered around 7:30 a.m. when 21-year-old Jose David Hernandez Galo, an employee at the business, began shooting at his colleagues.
As shots rang out, several employees fled for their lives, seeking safety from the unfolding horror. Selvin Chacon, known to some as Danilo, tragically became one of the victims. A coworker recounted that Chacon ran to him, urging him to call the police, before he was fatally shot.
The other victims were identified as 38-year-old Sergio Chacon and 24-year-old Karen Bautista. All three, including Selvin Chacon, were pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting prompted a large police response, with SWAT officers and negotiators securing the area.
Following an hours-long manhunt, the suspect, Jose Hernandez Galo, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus stated that the shooting was not a random act. Authorities have not yet released a motive for the shooting. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement later confirmed that Hernandez Galo was a Honduran national who had entered the U.S. illegally in 2019. The victims were also from Honduras. The investigation into the tragic incident is ongoing.
