Carl Joseph Carpenter, 38, male, was shot and killed outside a home on Bellevue Court in Lexington Park, Maryland, on the evening of October 27, 2025. Deputies were dispatched around 6:40 p.m. for an assault in progress; as they arrived, they learned shots had been fired and found Carpenter lying near the driveway with gunshot wounds to the head and upper body.
