Late on the night of May 12, 2017, Anthony Mattina, a 49-year-old Caucasian male from the Buffalo suburb of Williamsville, was found deceased in a vehicle on the 1400 block of East Delavan Avenue. Buffalo police officers from the Northeast District responded to a call of shots fired in the area around 11:30 p.m. and discovered Mr. Mattina inside the car, having been struck by gunfire. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
