In the city of Paterson, New Jersey, a Hispanic/Latino man named Luis Torres, 64 years old, was fatally shot on the evening of Thursday, October 30, 2025. The incident occurred near the intersection of Mercer Street and Franklin Street. Patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area shortly before 8:10 p.m. and discovered Mr. Torres with a gunshot wound.
