O’Shay White-Foster, 29, a Black male, was shot in the early minutes of October 5, 2025, inside a residence on the 100 block of Hayden Avenue in Columbus’s Franklinton neighborhood. Officers responding around 12:33 a.m. found him wounded; medics rushed him to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:48 a.m. His death was confirmed publicly later that day in an obituary posted by the funeral home.
