Jyran Johnson, a 17-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in New Orleans on the evening of October 6, 2025. Officers were called to the 3700 block of Texas Drive in Algiers around 8 p.m., where they found him with a gunshot wound; New Orleans EMS pronounced him dead at the scene. He was a junior at L.B.
