Alan Jacob Maldonado, 33, male, was shot and killed before dawn on October 6, 2025, in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood. Around 3 a.m., he became involved in an argument in the 3900 block of South Archer Avenue; during the confrontation, the other person produced a gun and shot him twice in the chest. Responding officers recovered a weapon at the scene. Maldonado was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
