Denzel Ford, a 19-year-old Black male, was fatally shot by a Chicago police officer on September 15, 2014. The incident occurred during a narcotics investigation in the city's West Town neighborhood. According to police reports, officers attempted to apprehend Ford while he was sitting in a car.
