Devondrey Exavious Cummings, a 26-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on January 2, 2020, in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Officers responded to gunfire around 1:40 p.m. in the 6900 block of South Michigan Avenue and found Cummings with 11 gunshot wounds. He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed his identity.
