Peter Batista Fana, 51, a male, was shot inside his north Charlotte home late on Wednesday, October 8, after gunfire tore through the residence on the 1300 block of Winding Branch Court. Officers were dispatched around 10:51 p.m. to a call of shooting into an occupied dwelling and found Fana critically wounded. A woman and an infant who were also inside were uninjured. MEDIC rushed him to the hospital, where he was listed in life-threatening condition.
