Mircedezes Edwards, 22, was shot late on Friday, October 17, 2025, outside the Brassfield Park Apartments along the 1900 block of New Garden Road in Greensboro. Officers were dispatched around 10:30 p.m.; first responders attempted lifesaving measures, but she died at the scene. Police initially described the shooting as accidental and said there was no ongoing threat to the public. This incident marked Greensboro’s 29th homicide of 2025.
