William Steel, 54, male, was shot on October 18, 2025, at the couple's home on Merlin Lane in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, and later died at a nearby hospital. Initial reports identified the location in the Irwin area; troopers found him in a bedroom surrounded by blood before medics transported him for treatment.
