Raykel Thompson, a 25-year-old woman from St. Louis, was found just before 1 a.m. on October 18, 2025, after gunfire was detected in the Carr Square neighborhood. Responding officers located her in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had rolled into a fire hydrant on the 1600 block of Biddle Street. She was barely conscious and struggling to breathe when first responders arrived, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
