In the early morning hours of a Saturday in Saint-Louis, Missouri, the life of Raykel Thompson, a 25-year-old female, was tragically cut short. On October 18, 2025, just after 1 a.m., the city's ShotSpotter system detected the sound of gunfire in the 1600 block of Biddle Street within the Carr Square neighborhood. Responding officers arrived at a somber scene. A vehicle had come to rest against a fire hydrant, and inside, in the driver's seat, they found Raykel. She had sustained a gunshot wound ...
