In the early morning hours of October 20, 2025, the life of 31-year-old Emma Prieto, a White/Caucasian female, was tragically cut short in her Dodge City, Kansas home. The day began with reports of shots fired in the 3000 block of Gary Avenue, prompting a police response just before 6 a.m. As officers were en route to the scene, a 31-year-old man, later identified as Prieto's husband, walked into the Dodge City Police Department and confessed to having just shot his wife.
