On June 18, 2013, 27-year-old Michael Sanchez was fatally stabbed at a Valero gas station in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incident occurred around 8:10 a.m. as Sanchez was en route to his first day as a manager at a local car dealership. His neighbor, Ricardo Villanueva-Cordova, allegedly followed him to the gas station, where an altercation ensued, leading to Sanchez being stabbed 29 times.
