Allen Collins, a 22-year-old from Oakland, California, was one of the victims of a wave of violence that marked the beginning of 2011 in the city. On January 4, 2011, Collins was found fatally shot in a separate shooting incident in West Oakland.
The incident was part of a series of violent events that occurred in the area around the same time. Another individual, Donald Johnson, aged 46, also lost his life in a separate shooting on the same day.
