On the night of June 11, 2025, Dallas police were called to a small home along the 4800 block of Spring Avenue after reports of gunfire. Inside, officers found James Johnson, a 71-year-old male, suffering from gunshot wounds; nearby, 34-year-old Dameon Green lay unresponsive. Dallas Fire-Rescue pronounced both men dead at the scene.
