Damarian Grear, 18, a Black male from Amarillo, was found fatally shot in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 27, 2025. Around 4:18 a.m., after numerous 911 calls about gunfire near Northwest 2nd Avenue and North Adams Street, officers located Grear inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene and the Amarillo Police Department’s homicide unit began investigating.
