Jerome D. Waring III, a 23-year-old Black/African American man from Milwaukee, was killed in an early-morning shooting on June 19, 2025. The gunfire erupted shortly after 6:00 a.m. in the area of North Hopkins Street and West Fairmount Avenue on Milwaukee's northwest side. Milwaukee police responding to the scene found that two people had been shot. Waring suffered fatal gunshot injuries and died at the scene.
