In the summer of 2025, the city of Roanoke, Virginia, was rocked by a tragic event that unfolded within a home on 7th Street NW. On the evening of June 28th, police were dispatched to the residence following reports of a shooting. Inside, they discovered the body of 55-year-old Israel Calloway, a Black/African American male, who had been fatally shot.
