On August 26, 2025, in southwest Houston, Shawn Malveaux, age 52 and male, was shot near a METRO bus stop in the 8300 block of West Bellfort around 6:50 p.m. Officers responding to the scene found Shawn Malveaux on the ground after reports of gunfire, and homicide detectives opened an investigation into the fatal shooting as his identity was being confirmed.
