Thomas Ramirez, 45, male, was shot and killed on November 28, 2017, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The investigation eventually focused on an acquaintance, Christopher Sena.
In October 2021, detectives arrested Sena and charged him with an open count of murder in Ramirez's death, describing a chance encounter that turned violent after Ramirez allegedly made fun of Sena's disability. According to contemporary reports, the men knew each other before the confrontation.
Prosecutors later detailed that Sena pulled up in a car, Ramirez approached, and after a brief exchange Sena shot him.
