On a summer day in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the life of a 44-year-old Caucasian male taxi driver named Ian Smith was tragically cut short. The date was June 17, 1982, and what began as a routine day on the job spiraled into a fatal encounter that would later be linked to an escaped serial killer.
