Death by Force

Jai’Mere Jordan, a 16-year-old male from Florence, South Carolina, who was Black, was found with gunshot wounds on North Irby Street around 1:30 a.m. on June 19, 2025. Officers responding to reports of two people lying on the sidewalk discovered both victims had been shot; they were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. One of them, Jai’Mere Jordan, was pronounced dead later that day, and an autopsy was scheduled at the Medical University of South Carolina.
