In the winter of 2025, the community of Florence, South Carolina, was unsettled by the tragic death of Axel Galeano-Lizardo, a 23-year-old male. On January 24th, authorities from the Florence County Sheriff's Office were called to a residence on Gilbert Drive, where they discovered Galeano-Lizardo unresponsive. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and the nature of his injuries led investigators to immediately treat the case as a homicide.
