On a late autumn afternoon in Florence, South Carolina, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of November 30, 2018. Eddie Darling, a 56-year-old man, was driving his car near the intersection of Alligator Road and Highway 76 when the unthinkable happened. At approximately 4 p.m., an unknown assailant fired multiple shots into his vehicle, striking him several times. The sudden and brutal attack left Darling gravely wounded.
