In the quiet town of Byrdstown, Tennessee, a welfare check on a Sunday evening turned into a homicide investigation. On July 13, 2025, deputies from the Pickett County Sheriff's Office arrived at a residence on Eagle Crest Drive. As they approached the home, the sound of a single gunshot cut through the night. Inside, they discovered 72-year-old Theresa Foutch, a White female, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the quick response, she succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.
