In the pre-dawn hours of August 21, 2025, a sense of unease settled over a quiet neighborhood in Hartford, Vermont. A disturbance at a home on Verna Court prompted a 911 call around 3:50 a.m., shattering the morning's tranquility. When officers from the Hartford Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered a grim tableau.
