Joseph Lewis, 69, a white male resident of Sharon, South Carolina, was shot outside the Dollar General on York Highway the afternoon of July 10, 2025, after an encounter that investigators said began when Joseph Lewis approached a vehicle, made threats, and struck the driver through the open window. Deputies and medics responded, and Joseph Lewis was taken to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, where he died two days later.
